Iowa Web Awards is a project we at 48Web have been wanting to do for a long time - since we discovered the Webby Awards. If you are not familiar with the Webby’s, they are:

The Webby Awards is an international award honoring excellence on the Internet, including websites, interactive advertising, online film and video, and mobile web sites, presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences since 1996. There is also a second set of awards called the People’s Voice Awards for the same categories which are given by popular vote. - Wikipedia

This is an effort to not only recognize the achievements of all our local internet stars out there - but to bring a bigger audience to their efforts. With this, we give you the Iowa Web Awards - a user-generated awards website. We’ll hold the awards annually, every fall.
